The Barber Conundrum
There are two barbers in town, across the street from one another. One has perfectly styled hair, the other’s hair looks horrible. Which barber do you choose?
The answer to that old tail is not the no-brainer that it would seem to be: you want to choose the barber with the horrible hair - no one cuts their own! Well, it turns out to be very similar to hiring blog writers, although instead of being unable to write my own, I find myself always placing my own properties at the end of the priority chain (including this one), because I think “I can always do it tomorrow”. Fact of the matter is, when people are paying me to write for them, I feel an obligation to get them out first, so I guess that is my “excuse” for not keeping up more on our fine blog here. Mea Culpa.
Since we’ve implemented our new project management system, though, I’ve been making teeny tiny steps towards better time management, and actually allowing myself time for my own properties. I’m excited at the new direction we are going, and am just damn proud of our new venture, BLOG WRITERS HOME. I think it is a fantastic, quality service that is reasonably priced (of course, I would!) but I think if you have a network of splogs or blogs, or have your own program and you want to supply feeds, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
Well, back to the writing, daylight is burning!
